Functional Safaty Gap Analysis

Introduction

A Functional Safety Gap Analysis is the systematic review of a the organisations/projects systems identifying potential gaps in the system that can illustrate where additional work is required to assist in compliance to IEC 61508/61511.

Application

A systematic review is conducted benchmarking organisations systems against the clause requirements of applicable functional safety standard.  Where gaps are identified this provides a clear view and priority rating for where the current systems do not meet the benchmarking requirements allowing a strategic plan to close the identified gaps and allocation required resources as appropriate to improve the systems to where the organisations target level is situated.

Services

ProSalus regularly conducts gap analyses for clients and on suppliers to for compliance with functional safety standards, primarily IEC 61508 and IEC 61511, however gap analysis has been conducted in relation to other industry specific standards as required.
